Thanks Dan. Looking forward to making IVC a huge event.

IVC Alum Here:

I always wondered how the school would host a competition if they ever did. I always wished it could happen but thought it would be a logistical nightmare with the layout of the school. Where is warmup going to be? How many bands are they expecting?

Now I'm also going to wonder what kept the school from hosting all this time. I assume the new field helps?

ISU is so early next year ! 😞

Open dates for them were 10/11 and 10/25.  I've heard the competing directors this year were polled on which they wanted, and the majority chose 10/11, which in some ways makes sense, as there's two super regionals, Nationals, possibly U of I afterwards, and this date more than likely won't conflict with any of those.

Any thoughts on if LW would have the same draw a week after ISU, as opposed to being the week before when some of the Central IL finalist bands (Morton, Bloomington) came up to see the suburb bands for the first time? Also probably competing with a Super Regional that weekend.

That's a tough question to answer at this point in time.  However, with two super regionals likely back to back, I could see bands foregoing St. Louis, attending here, and going to Indy the following weekend, especially if they're going to Grand Nationals.

Please add Dwight Harvest Days Parade Sept 21st to the list.  If anyone is interested, please contact Randy at 815-474-9795 or DwightParade@gmail.com.

Dwight Harvest Days is an annual 4-day festival ending on Sunday with our Harvest Days Parade.  Bands will be grouped into classes based on school size.  Trophies and plaques will be given for outstanding Drum Major, Color Guard, and Bands in each class for the Parade.  We have a top-tier judging panel which makes this competition an excellent prep for the upcoming state level competition.

Is this just parade or field as well?  The field show aspect hasn't been held in a hot minute.
