We collect and store the following information about you:
-The IP address or name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are coming from an America Online account).
-The date and time you access our site.
-The Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site.
-Your Operating System and Browser.

We use the information to measure the number of members to the sections of our site, which, in turn, helps us make our site more useful. The browser information is used to develop and code pages so most people will be able to view the site correctly.
We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, including email addresses. This means, for instance, that a user's session will be tracked, but the user will remain anonymous. We have IP addresses for everyone that uses Illinois Marching Online, however, this will not be used except in extreme circumstances.

Illinois Marching Online Forums uses cookies to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. In no case are cookies used to track down users for any purpose.

-You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and member name. You should notify a Illinois Marching Online Administrator of any known or suspected unauthorized use of your account, or of any known or suspected breach of security.

We at the ilmarching.com Discussion Forums also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you.

Communication

-You acknowledge that ILMarching.com may send periodic e-mails to all of our users notifying them of current or important upcoming events or site updates, advertisement messages generated from our sponsors or those who advertise with them, as well as merchandise specials being run within the ILmarching.com website and/or Network. Content is not limited to the above mentioned. Additionally, we will NEVER sell your e-mail address or personal information to ANY third party company or companies outside of our sponsorship scope. Your security is always our number one priority.

-Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded in the event that you need to be banned from the Community or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major and severe violation of this agreement.

Spam Defense
The IPS Spam Defense Service passes the email address and IP address of the registering member to the service to determine the likelihood a registering account is a spam source.
hCaptcha
We use the hCaptcha anti-bot service (hereinafter "hCaptcha") on our website. This service is provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., a Delaware US Corporation ("IMI"). hCaptcha is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a login page or contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, hCaptcha analyzes the behavior of the website or mobile app visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website or mobile app visitor enters a part of the website or app with hCaptcha enabled. For the analysis, hCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website or app, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to IMI. hCaptcha analysis in the "invisible mode" may take place completely in the background. Website or app visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place if the user is not shown a challenge. Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (DSGVO): the website or mobile app operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam. IMI acts as a "data processor" acting on behalf of its customers as defined under the GDPR, and a "service provider" for the purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
