Is there anyone you would like to see more involved in BOA outside of the frequent flyers rn

I believe Morton will stick with ISU. Maybe the perfect time to take a trip like Disney. And going to a regional in the area will still give kids the BOA experience. IMO

Side note - Joliet Catholic Academy voted to build a new state of the art stadium and sports complex. JCA doesn’t have a competitive marching band but could be used for a potential competition site. JCA is across the road from Joliet West HS.

I believe ISU would take the hit if both regionals are hosted the same week. Many bands are ditching ISU altogether. On the other hand, it’s a perfect opportunity for fresh faces to perform at Hancock Stadium.

Bands of America Indianapolis - 10/16-17/2026 Bands of America St. Louis - 10/16-17/2026 Both Super Regionals are tentative. Which bands will forgo ISU for BOA or vice versa? Or who will perform at both? My brain hurts thinking of all the possibilities.

That’s a band that doesn’t get enough flowers! I’m a big Cardinal Regiment fan. They are long overdue for an ISU of U of I appearance but I fear this might never happen. If I’m not mistaken, they would land in 4A/5A. Definition of small but mighty.

Was the a confirmation one U of I 2026? Any chance of a possible Halloween U of I?

Well spoken! Do you think the scores are affected more by judges themselves or the sheet they are given? Having judges from across the states eliminates bias, but going based on a BOA sheet not all bands have they type of show and/or style. I would also like to know your thoughts on the finals format. This “session” was of choosing our finalist is still fairly new (2021). Do you think it’s working? How do we make the contest more on an even playing field? What the purpose of holding people off knowing their class. Was this years enrollment weird because of the date or are bands finally done with ISU?
