IVCDad
For the first time ever, IVCchigh school in Chillicothe will be hosting a marching band competition. As an alum, and the parent of a band member, I am super excited to be able to showcase our school and community. Chillicothe is 15 minutes north of Peoria and such a convenient location for all bands from Illinois. I am proud of our history and tradition and can’t wait to welcome all the bands I have seen at other competitions to our town. Dave the date, September 20, 2025. Our website is live and active https://www.ivcbands.com/greyghostclassic and because video and marketing is my background. Here is a little video I tossed together

IVCDad
Less than a week to go till the inaugural Grey Ghost Classic. You may notice a slight change in our schedule, Due to a scheduling issue, we had to have Metamora withdraw from the show, so Pekin graciously agreed to move up a class to avoid being the only band in 3A. So we eliminated 3A from our show, and have 2 bands in 5A, 3 bands in 4A, 3 bands in 2A, and 3 bands in 1A. Still going to be a great day.
IVCDad
Thank you to all the bands, and fans and everyone that came out to our first competition in Chillicothe. It was amazing, and surreal. To have potential weather issues leading to 1 delay, and then a very rushed ending, I could not have been more proud of my team of volunteers to pull it off. We got a lot of nice comments on the way out, and appreciate them all. If anyone came to Chillicothe for our show...feel free to share your thoughts. What did we do well? What needs some work? We hope to make this a long tradition, and always are looking for ways to improve.

It's nice to get other people's perspectives on shows. This is D.D. Eisenhower's 4th competition of the season, and the third time they've been judged by Mike Madonia and Justin Clintsman, Clintsman every time on Visual Individual, and Madonia twice on Music GE and once on Visual Ensemble. Sidenote: Madonia and Jeff Fiedler will be judging this weekend at EIU. Dan Balash Submit your 2025 information!
