did anyone else have scratched out music scores? i think the judge forgot his eraser, or just changed his mind about three times.
  7. Grand National Discussion

This was a tough year for anyone that went with the TX bands there and the IN powerhouses. I had to check and double check about Broken Arrow, Tarpon Springs, Wando, Blue Springs, Castle and I'm sure I'm leaving someone out. It just felt like a lot of really good ones were missing.
  8. Grand National Discussion

In hindsight, I wonder if Lincoln-Way, O'Fallon Township, or Lockport Township could of made Finals if they had attended. Lincoln-Way I believe so, The other two would have been bubble bands.
  9. Grand National Discussion

Looks like Marian was 17th after Semi's and the Fishers IN was the first band out in 13th, Lawrence Township in 14th, Harrison GA 15th and Park Vista FL in 16th. All of those bands were 4A. Marian widened the spread between themselves and North Hardin KY from a BOA regional earlier in the year, NH 84.95, MC 86.8. In prelims Marian had a 84.725 and Miamisburg OH had 86.2, Miamisburg had 84.02 in Semi's

Way to go Texas. I had Marian winning class but wasn't sure about finals. I did like how they performed. Vandergrift I predict will take it all , after that is anyones game. Kentucky bands did way better than I expected. I thought Bourbon Co would win class A, Beechwood surprised me. North Hardin I had in 2nd in AA behind Marian doing a flip flop from BOA regionals. Even though Marian didn't make finals, at least they're performing tonight. I would almost place a bet that next year they are back in finals.

I fear it continues to marginalize the small school bands with lower budgets, and raises the price barrier into the activity even further.
