  1. 2019 Bolingbrook High School

    Bolingbrook High School is looking for a marching percussion instructor for the 2019-202 marching band season. Drumline and Pit rehearsals have already begun. Responsibilities will include running battery rehearsals for the summer, and full percussion rehearsals after camp.   2. The Lemont High School Marching Band is seeking a Head Battery Instructor for the 2019 summer and fall marching band season. An ideal candidate would have a strong background in the marching activity (including possible previous Head Battery Instruction Experience). Drum corps marching experience is also preferred but not required. Proficient battery and concert/keyboard percussion skills necessary. This commitment includes: summer percussion sectional dates, band camps (end of May, end of June & end of July) and regular instruction at all evening and weekend rehearsals. During the fall, rehearsals are Monday/Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and Saturday rehearsals (or contests) at Lemont High School in Lemont, IL.   3. Streator Township High School is looking for a battery instructor for the 2018-2019 marching season. An ideal candidate is someone with experience teaching percussion (with a specialty in battery technique and pedagogy). Job requirements: Band camp July 30-August 10, 8am-4pm Percussion sectionals during the summer (flexible scheduling) Wednesday night rehearsals from August 15-October 17, 6-9pm Weekend competitions Stipend for the season is currently $1100. An ideal candidate is someone with experience teaching percussion (with a specialty in battery technique and pedagogy).   7. NEXUS Indoor, a 501c3 non-profit, is currently seeking candidates to fill 2 tech staff positions. Entering it's third year of competitive performance, NEXUS Indoor will compete in the Midwest Percussion Cooperative circuit as well as the WGI Regional in Indianapolis and World Championships in the 2015 season. Battery Tech Opening The ideal candidate for this position would be well versed in multiple facets of battery percussion. The duties would include leading sectional rehearsals as well as assisting in the overall instruction of the battery section. Previous WGI/DCI experience is preferred, however the ability to teach and lead the members with a great attitude is paramount to success. Attendance at auditions, rehearsals, and performances would be required. This position would report directly to the Battery Caption head. Visual Tech Opening The ideal candidate for this position would be well versed in the visual performance aspects of the indoor activity. There is a huge difference between "playing" the notes and "performing" the music and the right candidate for this position would recognize and understand this difference. Previous WGI/DCI experience is preferred, however the ability to teach and lead the members with a great attitude is paramount to success. Attendance at auditions, FLOOR rehearsals, and performances would be required. This position would report to both the Visual Coordinator and the Executive Director.
