William Howard Taft High school is in search of individuals to head up their color guard and percussion sections for the upcoming fall marching season. Taft has been participating in 4-5 competitions each fall for the past 4 seasons. We are looking for instructors who can be at our august band camp, Tuesday and Thursday night rehearsals(4:00-7:00), and the 4 Saturday competitions we have scheduled. The Taft High School Marching Band is looking for qualified individuals to work as techs for the upcoming marching season. We have a very strong design team this year and are looking for techs to help us achieve their vision. Taft high school is located on the northwest side of the city, very close to O'hare. Here are some of the things we are looking for: able to attend the majority of our band camps ( the last week in July and the first week in August, 10:00 - 5:00) available for the majority of night rehearsals (we rehearse Mondays and Thursdays, 4:00 - 7:30) DCI or WGI experience is preferred, but a strong high school / college experience would suffice Interested candidates should email a brief resume and a letter of introduction to Kevin Harriman, Band Director at kjharriman@cps.edu

The Taft marching band is in need of individual(s) to design and instruct the color guard for the upcoming marching season. We have a 2 week summer camp, practice bi-weekly (Monday & Thursday evenings), and will be competing in 4 area shows through out the season. Individuals should have a strong fundamental approach, as the members are very new to the activity (this is only the 3rd year of having a guard).
