We don't have full historical data for 2005 as we didn't have every competition in our database back then. For what we do have, however, there were about 160 unique bands competing. I'll look at the others later.

Romeoville made finals at ISU (and won Stagg last weekend), Yorkville had a great season, and Davenport North is really good as well. Truthfully, U of I is always kind of a crapshoot with predictions. Weird things have a tendency of happening there. At least it's better than it used to be, when the Olympic system was used (5 judges in each portion of the scores, highest and lowest scores thrown out and the 3 scores were averaged tougher), and there was also a parade. As for early rankings, I usually base it off of history and performances from last year. I'll tweak it down the line when bands start to perform.
