It’s a balmy 54 degrees and blue skies! 42 bands of the day on deck for the next 10+ hours! Go leave it all out on the field everyone!

I'm glad that we were able to help, that type of thing should never hold a band back from showing off their hard work.

1A/2A was amazing. For 1A, Every single band that has played has impressed me, IVC was, IVC we got what we expected. Eureka got it together and did a fantastic run. University was much improved over last year and they nailed Halcyon Hearts. Prairie Central had some fantastic brass, and Herscher was a joy to watch. And then of course, Paris. I am blown away. The visuals were remarkable and the last hold before the closer sounded like it belonged in John Hersey's show something of the likes. They deserve the 1A victory no doubt in my mind. For 2A, Limestone was great, east Peoria was another joy to watch, laSalle-Peru was amazing, and Effingham had brass out of this world. Of course Morton and Galesburg were great as well. Great job to all the performers that make theese smaller bands just as impressive as the big dogs.

Entirely unrelated to your comment, but HUGE thanks from Joliet West for lending us some snares to borrow for the performance (I'm sure you'll get something more official) and really just any program who helped out with needed percussion today after our semi broke, I know Batavia for sure lent a hand.

My hot take is that 1a was separated by like 1.5 or 2.5 1-4. We'll see when it's all said and done!

What the heck just happened in 1A?????? 1. IVC (Visual) 2. U-High (GE) 3. Eureka (Music) HUH? Where is Paris? How they didn't earn a caption or a placement beyond me, as well, IVC taking visual, but not Music or GE? Their performance was great and in my opinion could have earned Muisc or GE. Visual I thought would be Paris.

I agree! I cant even make a prediction on who makes it for finals tonight... its gonna be close!

In the past, it's been offered in a multi-view(director's cut) and high cam. Same price, two streams. Hopefully it's the same. Will find out in 7 hours.
