Triplefunk 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 Well, let me be the first to say, that I am totally excited to see what they put out there! I'm glad they are not using amplified vocals, and going back to their roots persey. I believe this show, shows what it's like to be a Cadet the best. I'm super pumped
Dan Balash 244 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 I think it'll be their best show since 2000. Maybe they can bring back all of the traditions....such as the old unis (which is happening), the z-pull, etc.
Triplefunk 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 From what I hear they are. I don't know about the Z-pull though, since that is still in the process of being designed, but it would kick major butt if it did! I hear they are playing an actual ballad, huh who woulda thought. Dan Balash 244 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 I've heard the ballad might be Imogen Heap. Please let it be something other than "Hide and Seek," as Spirit from JSU is already doing it as well as the reincarnation of VK. As for me? Well, I suggested to Hop as part of Open Source that the Cadets should have brought Bernstein's Mass back. Unfortunately, they didn't take my idea. I got a shirt out of it though. Triplefunk 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 Sounds sweet, I'm not sure how it will do, but PC has always impressed me.
Triplefunk 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 Imogen Heap's work has always intrigued me. Especially the song she did on the "OC" very interesting.
Triplefunk 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 Ok, so I just searched Imogen Heap on Myspace, and the song I liked is Hide and Seek. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want that as a ballad, it has a lot of great chords and the progression is really great.
Dan Balash 244 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 it's kind of like Ride. Everyone and their mother is doing it now. -Spirit from JSU -The Woodlands -VK -Miamisburg World Guard.
Triplefunk 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 True, and not as a knock against SJU or VK but, I'm fairly confident that The Cadets will blow away what they are doing. Just like "Stranger in the Dark" I can't get it out of my head, and it's basically the same style, Bjork in 05 now Heap 07.
Dan Balash 244 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 it's still not confirmed yet. hopefully, hop'll find some other good piece, as she was nominated for two grammys. neither of which was for hide and seek.
