briar62 26 Report post Posted October 2, 2018 You can find the list of bands on this website or musicforall.org website. If I remember right there will only be one Texas band in attendance this year opening up more slots for semis and finals.
Band 13 Report post Posted October 2, 2018 Looks Like Prosper is the only TX band. Lots of great bands going from Illinois and elsewhere. Should be exciting!
briar62 26 Report post Posted October 20, 2018 Just read that in 19-20 it's being said that about half the state of TX will be in Indy on finals weekend

briar62 26 Report post Posted October 21, 2018 I think that Carmel and Avon will be in the top three, but other than that I don't know this year. Also, I see Castle missing finals this year giving a spot for someone else. I'm still unsure about Marian but won't count them out since they are known for cleaning and topping of their show in the last two weeks
Drummer79 10 Report post Posted October 21, 2018 I think we'll see O'Fallon in as the only IL band in finals. 1 ejn reacted to this
briar62 26 Report post Posted October 21, 2018 My thinking is O'Fallon will be in taking Castle's spot. I still don't count Marian out, I've done that in the past and have been burned Now after seeing the scoring at ISU I definitely wouldn't count Marian out. Sometimes they aren't done cleaning and adding and sometimes they're laying low until they need to kill it.

ejn 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2018 9 hours ago, JT2002 said: I heard O'fallon looked VERY strong. Actually they did the show almost entirely acoustic. They had pit electronic issues and the kids held it together like pros. The visual was best I have seen them this year. They will be fine in Semis.

briar62 26 Report post Posted November 10, 2018 Surprises. Someone tell me did Ben Davis HS get a new director in the last few years. I was surprised they weren't at BOA this year. Was kind of surprised that Adair KY didn't move along since they usually are in contention for class A champ. I have more but can't think of them at the moment. Had Lincoln Way went I think they'd had a good shot at finals
saxyman 52 Report post Posted November 10, 2018 I was also surprised that Adair didn't make it. I do wish Lincoln-Way had gone this year for sure. O'Fallon looked really good in semi's, so let's hope they can make finals.

Band Rookie 10 Report post Posted November 10, 2018 Way to go O'Fallon!!! You were awesome in Semi-Finals now show them how it's done in Finals!!! 1 ejn reacted to this
saxyman 52 Report post Posted November 10, 2018 Yeah, it does end their appearance streak of 34 years though. They'll need to be stronger next year if half of Texas is going to be there. Hopefully we don't end up with only Indiana and Texas in finals lol. I was really looking forward to two Illinois bands in Finals too. Great job to O'Fallon, though. 1 ejn reacted to this
