Gotcha. Who's conducting you guys this year? not really sure but i read on the site that it was Ross Kellan(sp?)

Yeah, thats why its one of my favorite pieces. The story behind it is moving and the music captures that. I think that all great pieces have that kind of emotion as well as the composing skill behind it. Also, u guys are SO lucky! I wanna play that lol. Though we may play October next semester so I shouldn't complain cuz thats the piece I've wanted to play the most. i think we played october my soph. year but i wish i had the sax solo for the echo never fades bc it is amazing and beautiful but idk if i will be 1st chair at IMEA I hope u get it! Good luck! It's gonna be a fight to the death for the Euph solo next semester. lol. I'm hoping to use seniority to get it well thank you i hope you get the euph. solo too!

I agree. Those three and Gillingham are my fav composers. Our Symphonic Winds played The Echo That Never Fades my freshman year and I feverishly searched the internet for a recording that night. The Echo Never Fades is one of the IMEA pieces this year and i also looked up a recording on the internet and omg! it's such a pretty piece
