Details:

The Mt. Zion Marching Music Games 2022 will be on Saturday, October 1st, 2022. Highlights of the contest include excellent judges and feedback, a field show competition beginning in the late afternoon on our beautiful turf football field, conveniently located warm-up fields, hospitality rooms for directors and staff, great concessions, and competition based on band size. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in each class will be awarded, as well as best in class trophies in each class. MMG Grand Champion will be awarded regardless of class. In addition to our Field Show competition, we are hosting a Percussion Competition where your percussion students can perform and receive additional feedback. Your percussion can play all or parts of your show, cadences, etc. You will receive valuable comments both in person and on tape. The Percussion Competition will take place in our beautiful state-of-the-art auditorium just beside the football field. Upon request, MTZ Bands will provide you the use of our front ensemble equipment (timpani, 2 marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, bass drum, etc.) Registration for the field show competition is $200 and $75 for the Percussion Competition. If you have questions, you can email Patrick Ward, Director of Instrumental Music, at wardp@mtzschools.org
