2003 Bands of the Year

Every year after the marching season ends (after Grand Nationals), our panel gets together and decides which bands to name “Bands of the Year”. Results may or may not be scientific or even accurate. Special emphasis is given to the Illinois State, University of Illinois, and BOA Competitions in creating this list. Schools are divided into Divisions by school size, with Divisions III and IV combined together.

Each of our 3 panel members votes for their top 5, with 1st place getting 10 votes, 2nd place 7, 3rd place 5, 4th place 3, and 5th place 1.
